These tasks are performed on the server and should only be undertaken by your I.T. Administrator or nominated member of staff.
How do I cancel a print job / clear the print queue?
Step 1
Open the 'Printers & Faxes' window. Start->Settings->Printer and Faxes
Double click the desired printer.
Step 2
Right click the print job(s) and select 'Cancel'
How do I add a new user to our network?
Step 1
Open 'Active Directory Users and Computers'. Start->Programs->Administrative Tools->Active Directory Users & Computers.

Right click the 'Users' container. Select New->User
Step 3
Enter the users First Name, Last Name & Logon Name. Click Next.
Step 4
Enter a password. Click Next.
Step 5
If you do not want this user to have e-mail access, uncheck 'Create an Exchange mailbox'. Click Next.
Step 6
Click Finish
How do I set permissions on a folder or share?
Please do not undertake this task unless you understand the role of allowing & denying permissions.
Warning. Setting Deny permissions can have undesired and serious consequenses.
Step 1
Open 'My Computer', right click the folder/share & select 'Sharing and Security'.
Step 2
Click 'Permissions'
Step 3
Click 'Add' to add the user/group you wish to grant/deny permissions to.
Step 4
Type the name of the user / group. Click 'Check Names'. Click OK
Step 5
With the user Highlighted. Check / Uncheck the required permissions. Click OK
How do I view / manage the fax queue?
Step 1
Open the 'Fax Console'. Start->Programs->Accessories->Communications->Fax->Fax Console
Step 2
Right click the fax entry. Select the desired action eg View/ Delete / Print etc.
How do I view a previously received fax?
Step 1
Open the 'Fax Console'. Start->Programs->Accessories->Communications->Fax->Fax Console

Right click the fax entry. Select 'View'.
How do I view the received fax log?
Step 1
Open the 'Fax Console'. Start->Programs->Accessories->Communications->Fax->Fax Console
Open the Inbox container.
How do I reboot the server?
Before you undertake this task please ensure the following:-
All users have closed any open applications and have loggged off.

Click Start->Shutdown, then select Restart
